Stephan Kress

Stephan was born in Germany and grew up sailing on Lake Constance. Later, he obtained his BSc, MSc, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering and worked at the forefront of nanotechnology-based renewable-energy research both at the university level in Switzerland (ETH Zurich), Boston (MIT, Harvard University) and for Seattle-based technology companies. Currently, Stephan is heading the efforts of Silent Yachts to remain the technologically-leading yacht manufacturer in his position as the chief innovation officer.
