Jeanne Socrates is a British yachtswoman who has circumnavigated the world single-handedly four times. At 77 years old, she became the oldest person to sail single-handed around the world nonstop and without assistance south of all five southernmost Capes of the Southern Ocean. She is the only woman to have circumnavigated solo nonstop unassisted from North America (twice) and she holds the Guinness World Record as the oldest female to have circumnavigated the world single-handed, nonstop, unassisted.
