Water sports are a family affair for Guenther. At the age of three he stood on water skis and boards on Lake Williamstown in Georgia for the first time. However, he only started his career many years later when he moved to Orlando in 2015 to test international wakeboard waters from there. In the same year he took 12th place in the Wake Park World Series Pro Features and received an award from Wakeboard Magazine. The next year he won his first world championship and went on a winning streak. He defended the title for four seasons.
