30 years ALDEBARAN

Millions of people have been informed about marine and climate issues by the Hamburg research and media ship ALDEBARAN since 1992. In the past 30 years, the ALDEBARAN has sailed more nearly 100,000 nautical miles for marine conservation and implemented more than 350 research and communication projects in Germany, Europe and Central America.

In 2015, the work of ALDEBARAN evolved into the German Ocean Foundation as a national and European dialogue platform for sustainable development and the protection of our oceans.
