Ocean Globe Race 2023 - 50 years Whitbread Round the World Race

The anniversary regatta 50 years after the first Whitbread Round the World Race. The Ocean Globe Race marks the return, after nearly 30 years, of the chance to race around the world with a full crew in four legs. Series yachts between 47 and 65 feet, designed before 1988, and former Whitbread boats are allowed. Featuring legends of the sailing world such as the Pen Duck VI, juniors and most importantly hundreds of amateurs, this retro regatta promises unique stories and pure adventure. With stops in Cape Town, Auckland and Punta del Este, the regatta follows its origins. Starting date: September 2023.
